Eventbrite hires General Manager for UK and Ireland

Self-service ticketing platform Eventbrite has appointed Joel Crouch (pictured) as its first ever General Manager for UK and Ireland.

The exec brings over 15 years international experience working with technology giants EMC and Google and most recently with Lanyon.

Crouch said: “Both the UK and Ireland have a vibrant events culture, and leading Eventbrite’s teams in this region is a chance to be part of it all.

“For a venue or a business it is great to see just how much Eventbrite’s online technologies can lighten the administrative burden of selling tickets, and for attendees it means that they can buy tickets anywhere, on any device and anytime.

“Our growth in the region is a testament to both our cutting edge technology, particularly in the mobile space, and the commitment of our experienced teams in London and Dublin.

“They have done a great job establishing online ticketing over the past few years, and I’m confident that I can accelerate the drive to bring smarter and more efficient event ticketing to even more types of events in Britain and Ireland, helping event professionals work smarter and more efficiently and bringing a seamless booking experience to attendees.”

Based in Eventbrite’s London office, Crouch will report to Randy Befumo, vice-president of strategy.

Befumo added: “It is great to welcome Joel to our London office. The UK is our biggest market outside of America, and we are pleased that our continued success here allows us to expand our local team with this senior hire.

“Joel’s extensive leadership skills combined with operational expertise will help us develop as a company. As the new General Manager for Eventbrite in the region, Joel will oversee performance and teams, helping us create an authentic local business that speaks to the specific needs of organisers and consumers in the region.”Music ComeOn
