Job Title: VP, Head of Marketing

The ideal candidate for the VP, Head of Marketing role is a seasoned and strategic marketing professional with 8+ years of proven success in the music industry. This role will oversee all marketing efforts across the company’s roster, releases, and brand initiatives — with a focus on building impactful campaigns, driving fan engagement, and amplifying artist narratives across digital and physical platforms.

The Head of Marketing will play a key role in shaping release strategy, leading the internal marketing team, and fostering collaboration with our internal A&R team and external partners. This position requires a deep understanding of the music and media landscape, a strong creative mindset, and a track record of breaking artists in a competitive, fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities
  • Lead the company’s global marketing function, overseeing strategy, planning, and execution across all releases and brand initiatives
  • Develop and implement tailored marketing campaigns for artists, projects, and company priorities, from early-stage planning through rollout
  • Oversee marketing team, content leads, and external vendors to ensure alignment and excellence across all channels
  • Build and manage relationships with DSPs, press, influencers, content creators, and brand partners to maximize visibility and impact
  • Collaborate closely with A&R, creative, and artist teams to shape artist positioning, storytelling, and long-term brand development
  • Define and execute social, digital, email, and experiential strategies that drive fan engagement and growth
  • Use analytics, insights, and performance data to guide campaign strategy and measure effectiveness
  • Manage marketing budgets and resource allocation across multiple projects and campaigns
  • Identify new opportunities for innovation in marketing formats, platforms, and fan engagement models
  • Represent the company and travel when needed for industry events, artist activations, and strategic planning sessions as needed

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in music marketing, artist development, and entertainment branding at a senior level
  • Proven track record of creating and executing successful campaigns for artists and releases
  • Deep knowledge of the music industry landscape, including DSP strategy, social trends, audience targeting, and artist-branding best practices
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams, timelines, and cross-functional campaigns
  • Creative thinker with a strong editorial sense and an eye for cultural relevance
  • Strong network across DSPs, media outlets, talent, and content creators
  • Familiarity with marketing and analytics tools (e.g., Chartmetric, Meta Business Manager, YouTube Studio, Mailchimp, Google Analytics)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, artist-first environment
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for music, culture, and innovation
